Me and my man Ina, decided to run a random dungeon. I was tanking with my warrior and ina was on his rogue. I didn't really worry about the dps cause he'll be pulling off more than 30%. 

Well while running "Well of Eternity" it turns out we got grouped with bad dps. The pally had a very good mixture of PVP gear and Tanking gear without any gems or enchants. His dps was lower than mine, which shouldn't be happening.
Still Ina could cover for him and after all it's only one bad dps. But the problem was not the dps it was the HEALER.

this guy was a disc preist and in pvp gear also healing like he's doing pvp. (Could've been Her but the toon was male)

Look the recount stats.

 
If we look at the stats:

1. Flash heal 24.7%
2. Power word: Shield  21.1%
3. Divine Aegis 13.0%
4. Prayer of healing 10.4%
5. Prayer of Mending 10.3%


This is not right, well since we did clear the instance, it's "okay" but the problem was everyone, especially the pally, was dying all the time, and i was poping my CD more than often. I wasn't able to save them for spiky damages that was expected.  

And most of all what happened to Penance? the most powerful heal for Disc healers?  
I just hope that this guy will understand his character much better than what he did in this instance.
it's really kill me every single time.

I like baseball, no let me re-say that, I LOVE baseball. I also love playing games as a head coach. That's why I like Football manager series, and OOTP.

for my iPhone I was lucky enough to find a coach simulation sports game--iOOTP 2011. yes, i've already won the world series like 3 times in a row, became the dominant force in MLB.

But what I really wanted to do was make a 'running' 'stealing' small ball team.

And... I did...



so look? of course I did this after the 40 man roster expansion, but 7 hits and 7 runs!!!



and look at the SBs!!!(Stolen bases)

my team was running, bunting, an that's how I won. I really would like to try out a small market, with players who have good eye and speed. it might get really tough and challenging, but so fun to win!!

Lost a helm for Lesucre today. I was running a heroic with Ina, rolling as a tank on Lesucre (Warrior) doing the Well of Eternity. Everything was okay, the dps wasn't great but do-able. On the last boss, my helm dropped. i still have a 353 item that I got from running the Zul's but this was 378, much better. 

it was Annihilan helm which was a very nice 378 item. However, a dps pally decides to 'need' on the item with a other warrior dps. man, they come in as dps and take the item i need? He is noticed as "DIPNSPIT FROM NATHREZIM SERVER" sweet eh?

If you look at the conversation table, Me Lesucre and In Hazakura needs on the tanking helm so I get a better chance to get it. but you see the other two take the need roll too. 

 

I think it's not right for people to do that and feel 'okay' about it. Cheating your way through game is no different from cheating your life. I believe when you are left alone, in a 'raw' type of identity, it's more or so to show the actions that you think it's 'right' to do. This behavior shouldn't be encouraged or looked at lightly in any sense. Anyone can say, "it's not a big deal, just a item." yes it is, but it's what the item represents. Whatever it is, how small it is, this is where the cheating starts. I hope i'll get to play a more "safer" WoW someday...well really someday.

So i'm back to my ordinary life, back from Chicago, the windy city and from the great NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English). It was a very short 2 day trip, basically get in and then get out version. 

My flight was from State College to Philly and then to Chicago. Why can't State College make a non-stop flight to Chicago?

The Chicago airport was beautiful, didn't have too much time to take pictures of the airport cause the transaction time was less than an hour. 

 

 

When I got to my hotel, found out that the 'actual' conference wasn't at the hotel that I was staying, but it was about a 15 min walk to a different hotel. The walk was very nice, and very windy at the same time.

 
이날 생각보다 많이 추웠다. -_-;; 역시 시카고라 바람이빠이 부는 그런 날씨였던 기억이..-ㅅ-

So when I got the conference center I got my booklet, met my colleagues and had some dinner and went back to my hotel, when over my presentation and went to bed. 

 
아쌀..=ㅅ= 나 발표한다고 이름이 제일 밑에 딱!

The hotel lobby was so nice, took a really quick vid, right before everyone was staring at me lol. 



The next day, got up early (my presentation was at 10:40am and was meeting everyone at 10:30. It's a 15 min walk and wanted to look good also :)

 
컨디션 만빵이였다..=ㅅ= 사실 좀 피곤하다고 느꼈지만 직접 표정을 보아하니 이건 뭐 발표준비는 제대로 끝난듯 ㅋㅋ

 

호텔내려가면서 찍은 사진, 저기 기둥은 우편을 넣으면 쓩하고 내려가서 우체통 역할을 하는거랜다...
미국에 10년넘게 잇었지만 저런거 모르니...이건 미국 시골총각의 병폐인가..ㅠ_ㅠ

 On the way to the conference, the weather was really nice, the sun was out and so good to walk. 
Went passed the Roosevelt university and a park (would never remember the name lol) 

 
  And finally the panel, it was great, we were in a room that would hold around 200 ppl, and to be honest we got around 150 to come!!

The days of games being a minority in education seems to be fading away :)

I'm off to NCTE this year again! The Annual convention is at Chicago!! Excited!
I'll presenting on "understanding digital cross-cultural differences and possibilities in culture education. My point in this paper will be about understanding the student's cultural back ground in language teaching. 

According to some scholars, Asians/Koreans seem to be passive in classrooms. I say F that! by observing in WoW (World of Warcraft) there has been too many patterns showing Koreans NOT being passive at all.
I'll be talking about this on Friday at Chicago!

Okay, so my hunter has a beast master spec and as patch 4.01, pets get special abilities.
I wanted my hunter to have some of that edge too.

So the Corehound, gives you Ancient Hysteria which is the same effect as Bloodlust.

However I wanted my core hound to be something NOT green. The one you can get in Outlands is green, and the red one from Molten core is too crazy and too annoying to get it actually.

So I thought, then remembered there's a core hound neer Exodar, alliance territory.

So I took the boat from Darkshore, and was ready to fight against the Alliance boat keepers.... but... hmm there was a sweet spot...

So, I went on and got off at the Alliance side...lol



 

And then I walked through Azuremyst Isle, found nothing... no other 80s or guards...:)



 

Carefully entered stillpine hold, looking for Kurken the core hound :)
and found him and started to tame him. Also was very careful not to "kill" him. After all one shot from my arrow and that doggy is ready to be skinned lol


 





He's 77 lvl i guess I"ll have to lvl the rest, and will stay as one of my favorite pets unless there's shammy in our group.

The difficulut part was actually getting the name for the dog, hmmm what'll it be...?

i just went with "Twofaced" lol

So this is how i got a pet with  Ancient Hysteria and pretty happy about it yaay?!!

So another day with one of my many alts, I’ve been playing with my priest lately. Trying to see if I could heal and dps with it too. Having 6 80’s Priest and Rogue are not one of them. Interesting?

Okay so today I was playing my mage. wanted to try out my luck on pugs again.
so far my luck has been really bad, where i've been meeting all these bad pugs.
I understand if you dont' know the fight, or you could produce low dps if you don't know what you are doing.
it's a noob stage that you go through anyways.

however usually when i say BAD pugs, i mean;

people who will pull aggro and can't handle it.
people who think 2 tanks is way better than 1 in heorics....
people who says "we need more dps!!" and he's producing like 800 in hoerics!!
people who sware all the time, have the f word typing all the time.
people who say they heal and dpsing.....(everyone starts to die...)
people who don't have half of their gear on...
people who rather chit chat then kill the boss...i mean during the fight...
people who will leave after one wipe.
tanks or heals who leaves during the fight.

But yes i'm dps so I have to endure stuff. I say to myself, I'll handle this some way some how...
So, i tried to play my mage again, got bored of other toons. I feel like pew pewing tonight!

I logged and pressed random dungeons. ah...UtK... very easy simple and quick and smooth.
and i got 3 pallys from the same guild and same server. KORIALSTRASZ!!

so we start killing some mobs, killing some more then green drops.
I just pressed to DE as usual... and all three pallies starts to need on everything. I've got pugged into 3 ninjas...
their explaination is "I'm a enchanter and I need the mats..."

That's such not a good explaination to need.
well so i can go by without needing any mats, i don't really mind. I have enough mats anyways...

then the tank starts to pull all the mobs in the hall where you have drakes and other mobs.... and wipes us all up.
it's not like he has 50K to keep up with it, he has like 30k. But yes, they started to blame it on me, the pew pew guy...

"you are not making enough dps, thats why we died"
"you did AOE so he couldn't keep aggro that's why we died"

the warlock who was with me left teh group whispering you should do the same.
but again i'm dps so i'll try to endure stuff...

and again, green drops and they are needing everything.
then says..

"if you don't like it leave, we don't need dps, there's plenty out there anyways."

I mean do i really need to hold it in after hearing that?
does this mean if you are tank/heals you can bully around everyone else?

I couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to leave... really pissed me off.
can't stand it anymore.
I have my own tank, my own healer and still would run with respectful attitude toward other players.
I guess i'm really sick and tired of these mindless stupid players.
the more bad pugs i meet, the more I start to hate those people.
